Coast Guard, Guam EPA respond to oil slick in Apra Harbor


An oil slick in Apra Harbor was reported to the Guam Environmental Safety Company and U.S. Coast Guard Sector Guam on Saturday.

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Guam Chief Petty Officer Robert Davis mentioned that the Coast Guard has been working with the Environmental Safety Company to watch and proceed to scrub up the slick on Sunday.

Farron Taijeron, a diving teacher, reported the slick after washing out his masks throughout a lesson with 4 college students at Outhouse Seashore in Piti.
