Naval Oceanography to hold change of command on Friday

U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Ron Piret will take over as the brand new commander of the Naval Meteorology Oceanography Command at Stennis Area Middle on Friday.

Piret might be relieving Rear Admiral John A Okon in a ten a.m. ceremony.

U.S. Fleet Forces Commander, U.S. Navy Admiral Christopher W. Grady (4-Star) will present remarks because the ceremony’s visitor speaker.

Naval Oceanography has roughly 2,500 globally distributed army and civilian personnel who gather, course of, and exploit environmental info to help Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to ensure the U.S. Navy’s freedom of motion within the bodily battlespace from the depths of the ocean to the celebrities.
